Abstract : In recent years the Indian banking system has been undergoing the modernization phase and implementing many innovative ideas in the system. This article focused on only the payment and settlement systems and it is based on secondary data sources. Data consist of it has been analyzed by the simple statistical tools. This article consists of ICT based payment system and services provided by RBI and banking institutions in India as well level of transaction International Journal of Enterprise Computing and Business Systems volume, value as well as includes threats of the electronic payment system as suggesting applicable measures to enhance payment system.
