Abstract : Women violence is a deeply rooted problem that exists in every country in the world. This article articulates that the aspect of domestic violence though hypocritically and pretentiously combatted by the government of Cameroon through its various legal dispositions has still and continues to be considered by many as a silent or noiseless crime affecting the status of women. As a result of such violation, there is a need for the government of Cameroon to put in place a credible and unified law with overlapping disposition in ensuring that women status and right should be guarantee, as it will go a long way in the recognition of the women status not only at the international level, but equally in country as well.
